Another set of verbs! I think I'll do smaller sets from now on so that it's not so overwhelming. I've also been getting used to using tumblr so hopefully my posts will be more consistent and helpful. Verbs with ***** are irregular so I have also written 3 forms of the present tense.

31. 닦다
a) to polish, rub up, shine (shoes, metal, etc.)
b) to improve, cultivate, polish, practice, train
- 기술를 닦아요 improve one's skill
- 덕을 닦아요 cultivate/improve upon one's virtue
c) to wash, brush, clean, wipe, dry, mop up
- 이를 닦아요 brush one's teeth
- 자동차를 닦아요 wash a car
- 엎지른 물을 닦아요 mop up spilt water

32. 열다****: 열어, 열어요,염니다
a) to open, set up, start, establish (a shop, a business)
- 도서관은 열어요 the library is open
b) open, unlock (a door), uncover (a lid), unseal (an envelope)
-마음을 열어요 open one's heart
-문을 열어요 open a door

a) to close, shut (doors, windows, etc.)

34. 걷다***** Regular conjugation: 걷어,걷어요,걷슴니다
irregular conjugation: 걸어,걸어요, 걷슴니다
a) To walk, go one foot, stride, swagger
- 학교에 걸어요. I walk to school.
b) to remove/take off/take away
- 상보를 걷어요 take the tablecloth off
c) to gather up, fold up, roll up, tuck up
- 자리를 걷어요 fold up a mat
(CAREFUL with this verb, it has regular and irregular conjugations depending on the use of the verb)

35. 찾다
a) to look for, search for, seek after, hunt
b) to find out, search/seek out, locate, discover
c) to look up, consult, refer to (a dictionary, a map, etc.)

36. 씻다
a) to wash, cleanse (oneself, dishes, shoes, etc.)
b) to clear oneself, wipe out
- 누명을 씻어요 clear ones's name (of a stigma)
- 치욕을 씻어요 wipe out the disgrace/vindicate one's honor
c) to wipe off, wipe away (sweat, tears, etc.)

37. 입다
a) To wear, put on, slip into, have on, be dressed in (clothing)
b) to get, receive, suffer, sustain
- 은혜을 입어요 receive favors/kindness
- 그 농가는 폭우로 큰 손해를 입었다 The farmer suffered a serious loss of crops because of the heavy rains.
