Korean Movie: Boys Don't Cry

It can be difficult at times to find movies and dramas that don't follow the he's a rich jerk, she's a sweet but spunky orphan (terminal illness optional!), they hate each other, fight, fight, drunk piggyback scene, fight, fight, accidental kiss, he likes her, she sees his sweet side, in-law drama, blah blah blah. So when I do find one with English subtitles, it restores my faith in humanity. Boys Don't Cry (소년은 울지않는다, aka Once Upon a Time in Seoul) is a movie I really enjoyed (don't worry, no spoilers, just a basic plot-line).

The movie revolves around two teenage orphans struggling to survive in post-war Seoul in 1953. In order to survive, they form a plan to steal American rations and supplies and sell them at their own store. At first they are under the protection of the local gang, but then they start trying to make money on the side. When the gangsters catch on to who is taking away their customers, the boys' sense of loyalty and friendship are tested.
I'm a sucker for historical movies and this one is good if you're interested in this time period. We see so much about the war that you don't really think about how people lived afterwards. There are also some real interesting characters in this movie, and it's a real original story. There is some violence, but it's not too bad. I know it's not exactly an in-depth review, but why spoil the fun?

Here is part one of the movie (on Youtube), not sure how long the link will last though.
